Assumptions - Collisions 1D

The Collisions 1D applet simulates elastic and inelastic one-dimensional collisions in both the lab and centre of mass frames.

For one dimensional collisions, it is assumed that:

• all collisions are exactly head-on, and hence one dimensional.
• there are no external forces acting on the system.
